Fundraising for Dementia Hawkes Bay
Hawke's Bay
Hi there
My name is Alister Robertson, the creator of the app “My Life's Story” and a recent recipient of the Queen's Service Medal for services to the dementia community. I am putting forth my best effort to raise awareness for those of us living with dementia and hopefully fundraise for Dementia Hawkes Bay.
I was diagnosed with early onset dementia at aged 60, I continue to live a full and active life cycling daily around Napier and beyond. I’m excited to channel my energy into training for the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, on Saturday November 30, 2024, where I will cycle 160km around the perimeter of the lake, and I would love your support!
In New Zealand there are approximately 70,000 people living with dementia, with the most common form of dementia mate wareware being Alzheimer’s disease.
By supporting my mammoth effort cycling Lake Taupo you are also supporting the mammoth effort of Dementia Hawkes Bay.
Please consider making a donation through my fundraising page and you can keep up with my training efforts on this page.
