Fundraising for Mid North Women's Refuge
Kerikeri, Northland
Every kilometre has a purpose. Every pedal stroke is for a cause close to my heart.
I'm a Kerikeri-based athlete from Northland, and this year I'm taking on the 160km Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge to raise funds for Mid North Women's Refuge.
Life doesn't always follow the path we imagined, and sometimes the challenges we face are not visible to others. Cycling and training have become an important part of my journey, helping me find strength, resilience, and a positive focus through life's ongoing challenges.
Mid North Women's Refuge has made a meaningful difference in my life, providing support, guidance, and practical assistance when it was needed most. For that, I will always be incredibly grateful. This ride is my way of giving something back and helping ensure other women and families can access the support they need, when they need it most.
As a Northland athlete proudly supported by Merida Bikes New Zealand and Solushin Australia, I'm putting my heart and legs into this 160km challenge for a cause that means so much to me.
Together, we can be part of the change — because a safer future starts now
