Help me raise funds for the reintroduction of the Kiwi Can programme to the Wellington region and I will abseil off the Harcourts Building!

Wellington

Nga mihi, friends and fellow Wellingtonians,

It’s well known that employees can be sent over the edge by their bosses but as a Trustee of the Graeme Dingle Foundation we are once again encouraging employees to turn the tables and drop their bosses off a local landmark, the Harcourts Building in Lambton Quay to support the region’s young people. I'm involved because I'm 100% behind helping our local youth gain confidence, learn valuable life skills, values and to maximise their full potential.

This fundraiser will see more than a dozen everyday Wellington heroes abseil down the nine-storey Harcourts building in Lambton Quay from 11am on Friday 30 September 2016. As the current Chairperson of the Wellington Trust, I will be joining them and leading the “drop".

The money will go towards supporting our planned reintroduction of the Kiwican Programme in the Porirua Region. And, this year we are delighted to have Porirua City’s current Mayor and Wellington City Mayoral Candidate, Nick Leggett, Graeme Dingle and others join us in this event.

As well as Kiwican, our Wellington Trust has for over fourteen years delivered programmes to over 9,000 students within the Wellington region such as Project K, Stars and Career Navigator. More information can be found here.

Please support me, financially, in whatever way you can as I face my own challenge to abseil from the Harcourts Building, later this month.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation is a Child and Youth Development charity that is building a positive, vibrant and successful New Zealand by Growing Great kiwi Kids. Our programmes; improve attitudes and behaviour, improve academic results, help young people set and achieve their goals, boost self-confidence, reduce truancy rates and at risk behaviours, such as substance abuse, and help young people feel more positive about the future. Please join me as part of making that change and help the young people of Wellington.

The Foundation's fundraising target is $20,000.
