Perpetual Guardian is donating $5000 to Whenua Iti Outdoors in lieu of Christmas Gifts for Clients. Our contribution will hopefully make a real difference, but we wanted to go bigger!
We invite other donors and businesses to donate and we will match every dollar donated up to the value of $5,000 so we can all make a bigger impact.
Whenua Iti Outdoors is doing great work in the community and following 2020’s lockdown, demand for support for wellbeing amongst our youth has accelerated and Whenua Iti Outdoors has responded by offering programmes that have a holistic focus to build strong people, whānau and communities – with your support they can reach more young people across Aotearoa.
Their work centres mostly on Te Tauihu (top of the South Island) and the West Coast and they collaborate with others to ensure they are meeting community needs. Right now, their adventure therapy programmes, which focus on wellbeing, are in high demand as the lingering effects of Covid-19 are felt by school communities.

This year, in the lead up to Christmas, we asked our staff to choose one of the causes most heavily hit by the disruption that 2020 has brought. The voting was unanimous and so in lieu of client gifts, Perpetual Guardian will donate to three worthy causes, all of which have a focus on supporting mental health and wellbeing in our communities.
