Phillip Roth joins CEO Ultra Challenge

Phillip Roth from BDO Christchurch will traverse the 85km Old Ghost Road, putting his body on the line to raise funds for Canterbury kids.

Phillip Roth is putting his body on the line again to raise funds, this time for Canterbury kids.

In 2019, Phillip successfully raised $8,500 for New Zealand Spinal Trust by running the Motatapu Ultra. Always looking for further challenges, Phillip has increased the stakes and in February 2021 will tackle the Old Ghost Ultra this time for Cholmondeley Children’s Centre.

Encouraged, or maybe persuaded, by friend Arron Perriam, on the 20th February 2021, Phillip will be traversing the stunning 85km Old Ghost Road and ascending 2,600 metres for the ultimate test in backcountry running.

More of an adventure than a race, this challenge will push Phillip to his limits. Being able to make a significant difference for a couple of children and their whānau provides great motivation. After running the Crater Rim Ultra in October 2020 as preparation, Phillip said “focussing on what I was trying to achieve helped me to get through”. Phillip hopes to raise $10,000, enough funds to support two children and would be grateful for your support.
