Wild in Arts is creating arts trails of human size statues all around the world.

The idea is simple with a very good outcome:

1 - Find businesses to sponsor up to 50 statues that will be decorated by an artist.

2 - Statues are being displayed on a public trail all around a city and a region for anyone to go and interact with, take photos of...

3 - At the end of 9 weeks of trail, statues are being auctioned with 75% of the profit going to a charity.

This year one is happening in Christchurch - the "Pop Up Penguins" with funds of the auctioned given to the Cholmondeley Children's Centre in Diamond Harbour.

6 small businesses in Akaroa have teamed up to be part of the amazing journey and we would all love your help to buy it back at the auction and gift it to our community and have it on display forever so please “Givealittle”.

The donations will be made to Pohatu penguins to allow us to bid on the statue at the auction but in the event that we would be unsuccessful to bid on it we would offer all of your donation to the charity so, either way, your donation will go to the above charity.

Come and visit our statue in Akaroa: "One Fish" but also "Gateway to the peninsula" in Little River and "Sunset Voyager" and "Horomaka", 2 of the small penguins designed by the Akaroa and Duvauchelle schools.

Make a journey of it and visit them all ^-^
