Help ease the suffering of palliative care patients in Aotearoa. Help fund psychedelic research studies and clinical trials.
Auckland
Depression and anxiety causes immense suffering for individuals and society at large. When people face their mortality, depression and anxiety is arguably the greatest cause of their suffering. Psychedelic therapy is re-emerging as a safe and effective treatment for depression and anxiety, especially for patients in palliative care. However, for psychedelic therapy to become a safe and accessible form of treatment for us and our loved ones, more research is needed. The hurdle holding researchers back from conducting definitive studies in this transformative field is simply funding. Every dollar you give will go directly towards funding the world's first randomised-controlled trial of LSD microdosing (ethics approved) at the University of Auckland that is aiming to commence enrolment next year. Any additional funds will go towards further psychedelic clinical trials in palliative care. Donations will directly result in world-class psychedelic research, funding functional-MRI brain studies, EEG studies, psychotherapeutic studies and clinical trials, with the aim of bringing psychedelic therapy closer to realisation for patients who are suffering now. Help Aotearoa become a world-leader in the field of psychedelic science and let's change the world.
I am a palliative care physician and researcher interested in funding scientific studies and clinical trials to determine the safety and applicability of psychedelic therapy in the treatment of depression and anxiety in the palliative care setting.
