Raising funds for Talk Peach gynaecological cancers awareness
Otago
Hi, my name is Sophie and I’ve committed to taking part in the Otepoti Boxing Club’s Punch with Purpose 6 – a 10-week corporate boxing training camp. At the end of the camp, I’ll be stepping into the ring on 2nd of May 2026.
I was lucky enough to be given this opportunity by Leanne, who fought and won her bout in last year’s event and kindly gifted me her spot for this year’s camp. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance and am doing my best to make the most of it.
I’m currently in week 3 of training and it’s already pushing me well outside my comfort zone, but I’m taking on the challenge to raise funds for Talk Peach.
Each year in New Zealand, around 1,000 people are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer, with ovarian cancer being the deadliest. These cancers are often diagnosed late because the symptoms can be subtle and easy to miss. Talk Peach works to raise awareness of the early signs, encourage people to advocate for their health, and support those who have been diagnosed.
I’d really appreciate your support as I take on this challenge. I know times are tough, so any donation – big or small – would mean a lot and will go towards an important cause.
Thank you so much for supporting both my journey through this training camp and Talk Peach. If you’re able to donate or share my page with others, it would mean the world to me.
❤️
