Anyone who talks to me for more than 2 minutes knows that I like to raise awareness of Huntington’s disease. This cruel genetic disease has affected my family and touches the lives of so many people across the world.

I am inspired by families fighting Huntington’s disease every day. So the least I could do was enter a race to raise awareness and money for a great cause. The Huntington’s Disease Association Auckland is a nonprofit group set up to help families impacted by HD. It is an invaluable source of information, support and friendship for anyone with HD in their family.

So I'm running the Queenstown half marathon this weekend, for those Bristish people... it’s like the Kiwi version of the Great North Run in the mountains.
