A group of Auckland Grammar students attempt to run 1000 miles in less than 100 hours to fundraise for mental health within New Zealand

Auckland

Established in 2013 the Key to Life charitable trust is a community focused support group aiming to change the way New Zealanders think about mental health and mental wellbeing. Working alongside health professionals they aim to promote a positive attitudinal change throughout our country to encourage New Zealanders to become more open about their mental health to prevent the "bottle it up" and "toughen up" mentalities which have lead to our high youth suicide rates.

We as Auckland Grammar school sees this as a worthy cause to support and aim to help fundraise for this cause by holding our 1000 miler charity event. We will run a total of 1000 miles within a 100 hours as a small squad in a relay in hopes that our efforts will help to inspire our fellow Kiwis to donate to this great cause.

As my contribution to this relay the senior squad and I will be running during the hours of 12am-8am for four nights to ensure the run goes around the clock, this will be tough but we hope in return our efforts will be matched by those willing to help us fundraise.

Thank you to all that help to support this worthy cause.
