Raising Funds for Flood Recovery

Following two major storms, many parts of NZ have been devastated by flooding and landslips. People have been evacuated from their homes and are without food, power and basic supplies. We want to raise some money to support the Red Cross, who are working in the affected areas helping wherever necessary. That includes setting up and managing Civil Defence Centres, providing essential supplies such as stretchers, blankets, bedding and hygiene kits. They are deploying satellite phones, generators and other equipment. Trained Red Cross people have also provided crucial psychosocial support and practical help to those who have been forced to leave their homes.
