Raising funds for Harbour Hospice in memory of Sharon Norman.
Auckland
In memory of Sharon, the most amazing wife, mother and friend, the Norman family are raising funds for Harbour Hospice.
On October 23rd 2022, we received the devastating news that Sharon's breast cancer was back, three years after her initial stage one diagnosis. However, this time it had metastasised and become an aggressive and incurable stage four cancer. After a brutal and rapid seven weeks, on 13th December 2022, Sharon passed away peacefully at Harbour Hospice, surrounded by her family.
In her final days, Harbour Hospice provided a safe and secure environment for Sharon. NZ Hospice care is completely free of charge, so in thanks for their kindness and all that Harbour Hospice does, Sienna (Sharon's youngest daughter) will be shaving her head and donating her hair on her 21st birthday, 31st January 2023.
We would like to thank you in advance for any and all donations.
Love Graeme, Epernay, Sienna, Jade, Ryan, Blake and the rest of our lovely family.
New fundraiser end date: 18 March 2022 25 January 2023
First of all, we would like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who has donated thus far. The level of generosity and kindness has been incredible!
Secondly, we have bad and good news...
To donate hair to Freedom Hair NZ, hair needs to be a minimum of 14 inches long, and with one week to go, we thought we ought to remeasure Sienna's hair. The bad news is that although 50% of Sienna's hair is currently 14-15 inches, 50% is only 13.5 inches. The good news is that we're very adaptable and have decided to postpone shaving until all of Sienna's hair is 14+ inches.
Our new shave date will be March 18th as we feel this gives us plenty of time and we won't need to push out the timeline again. This also means 7 more weeks for anyone who is considering donating!
Thank you again,
The Normans
