Fundraising for Maia Health Foundation

Canterbury

In 2024, we're launching a giving campaign with a difference—one that truly matters for Cantabrians. On Friday, 1 November, a Rangi Ruru team will participate in 'The Amazing Raise,' competing in challenges across Christchurch to raise funds for Kahurangi, a dedicated mental health outpatient facility for children and youth in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This cause is crucial for our community, and we're excited to support Māia Health Foundation in raising funds to make a real difference for our young people.

Why We’re Fundraising - Demand for Child, Adolescent, and Family (CAF) outpatient services has surged, with 400 young people referred each month. The CAF service has seen a 157% increase in clinical interactions, highlighting the growing mental health needs among our youth. Māia Health Foundation aims to raise $6 million of the $16 million needed to build Kahurangi—a vibrant, supportive facility that will transform care for young people in our community.

The Amazing Raise Team - The Rangi Ruru team, including Principal Tracy Herft, Head of School Georgia Rumball, Kirsty Rueppell, and one other community member (could this be you?), will compete alongside 27 other organisations on 1 November.

How You Can Support - We’ve set up this page, with all of the funds going directly to Māia Health Foundation. Join us in making a difference!
