Help raise funds for the leading provider of paediatric health care in New Zealand and the South Pacific, Starship Children's Hospital.

Nationwide

Like many Kiwis this winter, our baby Rose contracted the dreaded RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), a common respiratory virus that causes lung and respiratory tract infections.

She became very ill and was rushed to Starship Children's Hospital for urgent care. RSV caused bronchiolitis and pneumonia, which meant Rose was cared for in an isolated room for 7 days to prevent the illness spreading to others.

A talented team of doctors and nurses provided expert and compassionate care for our wee girl.

And we know how lucky we were to be able to take our baby home with us on day 7 - this isn't the case for many sick Kiwi kids and their families.

As the leading provider of paediatric healthcare in New Zealand and the South Pacific, Starship Hospital is in desperate need of a huge amount of funds to extend the building's footprint and upgrade equipment and facilities.

Starship is the life-line for children all over New Zealand with more than 144,000 patient visits and appointments each year. The hospital is under overwhelming demand and government funding isn't enough to cover the huge costs.

So to show our gratitude for the care we received we have created this page to raise funds.

Anything you can donate will be hugely valuable and most gratefully received by the Starship Foundation.

**And for Kiwi donors, donations of $5 or more mean you can claim back 33.33 cents for every dollar donated, as the Starship Foundation an approved charity.**
