Participating in Mount Everest Challenge 2025
Mount Maunganui, Tauranga
My motivation is to improve my health and wellness by conquering Mount Everest for a second year in a row.
To climb Mount Maunganui 38 times in 50 days not only equals climbing Mount Everest but it also improves my physical and mental health at the same time.
I enjoy climbing the Mount using 4 different approaches to reach the summit. Main beach up the stairs down to pilot bay. Pilot bay up the 4wd track to the back of the greenstone, down the 4wd track to the goat track, up the track to the summit down the main stairs then up the main stairs to the up and over bridge then up to him through the cave to the summit.
Competing the challenge 3 times in 50 days last year game me the strength and confidence up pursue my dreams, becoming a Riverbug guide and joining two hiking groups where I have been able to make good friends and lead group hikes.
It led me to meeting my girlfriend and to creating a wellness weekend at Ngatuhoa Lodge. A weekend of grounding, transformation, connection with nature and wellness practices such as you, meditation Blue Lotus and cacao ceremonies with ecstatic dance and fire gazing mixed with nature hikes cold plunges and swimming holes in a place where every walk takes you to a waterfall. Including one 40 m tall and 26 m wide Te Rereioturu.
Let 2025 be a year of new beginnings and great adventures. Looking forward to seeing you on the journey to the summit.
