On the 17th of November, I will be running my first marathon to raise awareness for SAFE's fantastic work for animal advocacy.
Nationwide
On the 17th of November, I will be running the Queenstown marathon to raise awareness for the SAFE organisation and the work they do to protect the voiceless. Since 1932, SAFE has been New Zealand’s leading animal protection organisation, working to raise awareness, challenge cruel practices and change attitudes towards the welfare of non-human animals. Combating this 42.2km challenge will be nothing in comparison to the suffering some factory farmed animals still endure here in New Zealand, which is why I am going to exercise my freedom for the animals that cannot. Your donation will contribute to public stalls, displays, demonstrations, meetings, education services and research to foster a more informed understanding of the state of human-animal relations in New Zealand. You certainly don’t have to be vegan to support the cause, but if you share my passion for the protection of animals then any support would be appreciated.
I must acknowledge my brother Matt Bowater, who has been my major inspiration for getting back into running and giving me the confidence to tackle this challenge.
I have a passion for the protection of animal welfare, which led me to wanting to support the SAFE organisation and their awesome work for animal advocacy.
