Participating in Wheelie Awesome August Wheelathon!
Canterbury
During August I am participating in the "Wheelie Awesome August Wheel-a-thon" I'm aiming to cycle 400km that's 100km a week!!
My motivation is the babies, children and their families who attend Conductive Education Canterbury (CEC). All parents have dreams and aspiration's for their children's lives so when faced with the additional challenges through either prematurity and/or disability, having an organisation such as CEC walking alongside them as they navigate these early years is vital.
CEC has a shortfall every year of around 40k so we have decided to fundraise & build a house for adults with disabilities where they will learn the skills to live independently. The rent from the house will cover the shortfall at CEC, how good is that its a win, win! Young adults learning to live independently while support babies and children with additional needs.
Conductive Education Canterbury provides Early Intervention services to babies and children with additional needs and disabilities.
