  • Update for the More FM Mount Everest Challenge 2020

    Thank you everyone who has done such an amazing job with fundraising for TECT Rescue Helicopter in this years More FM Mount Everest Challenge.

    We will be keeping this page open for donations until 20th July 2020 so that people can finish the challenge after lockdown is completed.

  • We have done 10 climbs each!

    With all the crazy happening in the world we decided to get all our climbs done. We did a double each on Thursday after school so we each had 1 left.

    On Satuday 21st we completed our Mount Everest challenge and were very lucky to have Pyes Pa school students and teachers joining us. Everybody had juicies at the top. We had some spares which we handed out to other climbers.

    Thank you to everyone that has donated to this wonderful charity. We love reading all the messages.

    Even we are finished people can still donate.

    We learned so much in this challenge and we think Mrs Walmsley would be very proud of us.

  • Week 4 was Super Hard

    We have all now completed 7 climbs each, that’s 28 out of 38 done. This Saturday was so hard, it felt at the beginning that we’re still so far from completing the challenge but we did it and felt great afterwards.

    Saturday 21 March we inviting everyone who is keen and knew Mrs Walmsley to join us for a climb. We will meet at the surf club at 9am.

    Thank you to every person who has donated we really appreciate it and think Mrs Walmsley would be very happy too.

  • Week 3 - 4 more climbs

    This weekend we had a busy Saturday, Jackson, Owen and Tania (Jackson’s mom) did the Mauao half marathon as a team ... Thant’s 3 up and downs and 3 around the mount. It was such an achievement for all of us. Kaden and James were our support crew and went up as well.

    We’re still enjoying every climb and remembering our teacher!

  • Week 2 and another 8 climbs done

    We are happy that we have now completed 16 out of the 38 climbs. Today was very special because our friend Max joined us for the climb. We ended our walk with a Mount Everest ice cream at Mount Gelato.

    Thank you very much to all our sponsors so far, we think our teacher will be very happy.

    First double for all 4 of us and we still had energy. We enjoyed talking to all the other people and telling them our story.

    (Note by mom: a double is a 7km walk with a 444m ascend, the boys did this with no complaints)
