As a keen cyclist, I've decided to accept the challenge and bike the length of New Zealand as part of the official event (It's never going to get any easier!). One of the conditions of entry is a donation of $100 to a worthy cause. I got to hear about True Colours several years ago, when they came to the aid of a young baby whose Grandparents live close by. There were some rather complicated medical issues. At this time, True Colours came to the fore, stepping in to assist and guide the family through these difficult times. I also heard from another neighbour of similar help to their extended family. All assistance is purely voluntary and True Colours is not Government funded.

To all those people who kindly supported "True Colours", as part of my cycle ride the length of New Zealand, a BIG THANK for your generous donations. We have raised just over $3000 to a very worth cause. I have taken the opportunity to visit their office in Hamilton since the ride and was very impressed by the people involved in the front line of the Organisation, their on going commitment and dedication to all children involved.
