    Sharing my last image of the 2023 TA, the train ride home from Taumarunui.

    Thankyou to all who donated to my 2023 attempt to ride the Tour Aotearoa, helping me exceed my 2023 goal. An amazing $2490 was raised for I am Hope (Key to Life Charitable Trust).

    I'm happy to share that I've just enrolled in the 2024 Tour Aotearoa event, hoping to make it all the way this time. I am again supporting and donating to I am Hope for this event.

  • Day 8 Update - an early end

    Hello supporters! 1131 kms completed in 8 days!

    That's as far as I get in 2023.

    I had just completed the Timber trail, with spectacular scenery and tricky trails. As I was heading to Taumarunui along the gravel road ... (well I don't remember the rest). I came off and sustained a concussion after hitting my head and falling unconscious.

    Needless to say Ive pulled out of the 2023 event today.

    I would to thank everyone for your generous contribution and support to the I Am Hope charity in their mission to promote positive change around youth mental health, and providing support services through Gumboot Friday.

    Thankyou so much to everyone who has donated and so pleased to have reached the goal on Day 5. I've made it to Matamata on day 5. I've got some sore bits and made it through the "Day 4 slump".
