Raising money for Generation Zero by riding home from Christchurch to Auckland.
Nationwide
It has been a trying year for climate action around the world.
I want to start 2018 off on the right foot by riding my bike from Christchurch to Auckland in support of Generation Zero, who tirelessly work to promote a shift away from fossil fuels and towards a sustainable future for the world.
I will be making my long commute home to raise money for campaigns that seek to move energy production to renewables, transport from petrol to electric and human-powered (that's me) and to starting preparing our housing and cities for more extreme weather conditions.

Home! 8 January 2018
Hi there, quick update to say that I've made it back to Auckland. I arrived back on Saturday around dinner time.
After my last update I ended up staying with my awesome auntie and uncle in Taupo to avoid having to ride directly into the storm that blew through most of the country.
I ended up coming back from there in one trip to make up the the two days I spent waiting out the weather (sitting on the couch and eating cake 👌).
I made good time on the ride home, with most of the ride going down the western side of the Waikato on quiet, scenic roads. I was even glad to see Huntly, being in desperate need of a snack.
Thanks again for all the support.
