Participating in Joyride
Christchurch, Canterbury
I heard about Joyride in church and knew straight away that I wanted to do it to raise money for children in Kolkota. As I'm blind and have autism I'll be the stoker (engine room) on my tandem bike, with Sarah as my captain (navigator). At around 20km, riding to New Brighton from Southwest Christchurch through roadworks on Halswell Road into the city and along the Te Ara Ōtākaro Avon River Trail is much further than I usually ride and will be a challenge, but I reckon we can do it. New Brighton is special to me because I remember going there with my Dad in the Mini when I was young. Going out on the pier is also as far as we can go into the world beyond.
We'd love your support - please help us to help Joyya.
South West Baptist - let's participate in Joyride 2024
In Kolkata a lot of kids have pretty tough lives and don't get to enjoy just being kids. Joyride is your opportunity to bring a little joy!
Thank you for your support :-)
Thank you Lincoln
Thank you Jeanette - the forecast wind will be an extra challenge but insignificant compared to the challenges of life for some in Kolkata
Good to have your support financially and in person :-)
Thank you Erin - it'll be an adventure for both of us.
