On Sunday the 24th of November 2019 I will complete an 18km run to raise awareness for Mental Health and funds for I Am Hope.
Bay of Plenty
In June of this year, I lost my partner to suicide.
I am going to run an 18km run to raise funds and awareness for I Am Hope.
This is a great foundation that provides funds to cover counselling costs.
My dream is that the funds that are raised will provide someone with the assistance that they need to pull themselves out of their downward spiral.
For every $1 donated - I will match that dollar with 50c of my own money to contribute to this great cause.
I Am Hope is a great foundation that funds counselling sessions for our youth. If we raise more awareness and funds for this fantastic initiative - the excess of funds can then assist more people and a large range of age groups.
In 2018, in Aotearoa 137 young people died by suicide and it is estimated another 3500 tried to take their own lives. While Government agencies are doing their best, some kids are stuck waiting up to six months to receive the counselling they so urgently need.

My partner recently committed suicide after a long battle with depression. I would like to raise funds to prevent these circumstances recurring and effecting anyone else.
