Here in New Zealand, while we may gripe about the state of our health system, we actually have a health system that more than 95% of the world's population would love to be able to have access to.

In South Sudan, the state of the health system and general health amongst the South Sudanese population is very much worse than here.

I'm raising money to help make a difference in the health of some of those in South Sudan who desperately need basic treatment in order to survive and live better than they currently do.

Hello My Lovely Donors,

This is the first time I have fundraised- for an event and I've been amazed at the generosity of you all.

Thank you so much. I set an ambitious $1000 goal, and I'm now well over 2/3 of the way there.

Despite a strong head-wind which all competitors commented on, the half marathon was sunny with a fantastic atmosphere and very enjoyable. My times from my training had me expecting a finish time of around 2 hours, 30 minutes, so I was shocked to come in under 2 hours, 5 minutes. It's amazing how much more we can achieve when we are surrounded by others pursuing similar goals.

The money donated will go far in South Sudan, and make a huge difference to the lives of the recipients.
