This morning Taylor and Brett completed each of their 100km by running around Nana's happy place - The Royal Wellington Golf course. It was a beautiful morning with no wind and they got out before the first tee time so had a quiet course.

They were joined by Pops, cousin Luca, Mum (Erica), Ruby, Millie, Nanny Jen, Sam Govind and Tony Houpt for the final run down the 18th hole to tick off 100km.

We celebrated Nana's life yesterday and everyone was very generous towards this fundraiser and supporting Te Omanga. To those of you that couldn't make it yesterday, Thank you so much for all of your support to help us reach this unbelievable total.

We will all continue to run with Nana in our Hearts.

This morning Taylor was joined at Trentham ParkRun by a big turn out from his local running club, Trentham United Harriers.

He was also joined by Pops and Uncle Craig who walked a lap of the course cheering Taylor on.

Taylor's sister Ruby ran with Brett, achieving a PB.

It was such an amazing turn out, thank for all the support!

With deep sadness, we share that Nana passed away peacefully yesterday morning. She was comfortable at home and surrounded by love.

Our family is so grateful for the incredible kindness and support you’ve all shown, especially through this fundraiser. Taylor and Brett will continue to run for Nana as she was so proud of what’s being done in her honour. We can’t thank you enough for supporting Te Omanga Hospice, this will enable them to continue to provide their services for others like Nana.

    Rest in Peace and Love

    Taylor and all Janets family

Taylor smashed out a new PB at Trentham ParkRun this morning - 23:30! Beating his previous best (set last week) by over a minute!

Dad had a rest this morning to try kick a lingering sickness. It was fortunate for him as he would have struggled to keep up with Taylor's blistering pace!

    Over $12,000!!! 🤯

    You are all AMAZING!

  • Halfway Update

      15 October 2025

We are halfway through the month and both Taylor and I are halfway to 100kms each.

Taylor has had good company during his runs, recently he’s been joined multiple times by his good friend Harlan at 6:30am before school.

Again, THANK YOU all so much! We pinch ourselves everyday as the total keeps climbing, it’s doubled since the first update to over $9000!!!

Nana/mum (Janet) is now in her final hours and the hospice support has been excellent for all of us. This has allowed us to continue to care for mum at home as she wished and keep her very comfortable.

You can keep up to date with Taylor as he runs every kilometer via the main donation page, it’s linked directly to Strava which is recording all his runs. We’ll continue to add photos and I’ll also post updated screenshots from my Strava account with my progress.

Thank you all very much for your support, every single one of your donations means the world to us and the hospice.

  • 🤯 THANK YOU!

    WOW WOW WOW!!!

Thank you all so, so much! Taylor and I are absolutely blown away by your generosity. We know there are many worthy causes out there and that times are tough for many people, so to see you smash our $1000 goal in under 4 days is just incredible. We honestly can’t thank you enough.

We’ve made a steady start with the running, taking a rest day today with all the rain, and

It’s been extra special to have family joining in 😊

Taylor’s cousin Jack (Suzanne’s eldest) ran with us on the 2nd, and tomorrow his cousin Luca (Craig’s eldest) will be lacing up too.

This all began with Taylor wanting to make homemade lemonade to sell outside the local Four Square to raise money to help Nana. After some brainstorming together, the idea of running 100km each was born. His first goal was $500, but we thought we’d try for $1000. To be where we are already has truly left us speechless.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again. We’ll share another update at the halfway mark.
