Support Speech Therapy for Kiwi Kids with Down Syndrome. Simon and Emma's Auckland Marathon Challenge for UpsideDowns Educational Trust.
Auckland
Myself and my Daughter are running the Auckland half Marathon to raise funds for the Charity UpsideDowns Education Trust.
Giving a Voice to Kiwi Kids with Down syndrome
Since 2003, UpsideDowns has been providing essential speech and language therapy (SLT) for children with Down syndrome across New Zealand. Founded by dedicated parents, their mission is clear: to ensure every child can communicate and thrive.
Why support UpsideDowns?
Many families lack access to individualised speech therapy through the public system. Without UpsideDowns, these children face significant barriers. They receive no government funding, relying on donations to raise $450,000 annually.
Their impact
UpsideDowns currently support over 370 children in every region of Aotearoa. SLT equips them with the skills to communicate, learn, and succeed in life. Your support transforms futures.
Impact in action: Olivia Starts School Strong
Supported by UpsideDowns-funded speech and language therapy since the age of 2, Olivia is now settled into her local Hamilton primary school with growing confidence and communication skills.
With her village around her, she’s participating in learning, building friendships and well and truly finding her voice.
