Running for Parafed Taranaki
I am running 1 1/2 marathons a week for 6 weeks to raise funds for Parafed Taranaki who work to make sport accessible to disabled people.
Inglewood, Taranaki
Being physically active has always been important to me as it keeps me both physically and mentally fit. Through friends I have been lucky enough to experience some of the work that Parafed Taranaki do for disabled people in our community and have also meet some of the wonderful people who it encourages and supports. Parafed Taranaki brings movement and joy to people's lives and I'd love to support them in their wonderful work.
Starting on the 21st March I am going to run 1 1/2 marathons (that's 63kms!) a week for the next 6 weeks and I'd love you to donate to support this wonderful cause. Your donation will help me put my shoes on each day and put one foot, and one heartbeat in front of the other!

I want to say a huge thank you to every single one of you that generously gave your support, kind words, encouragements and donations for my running efforts for Parafed Taranaki. I feel so humbled and grateful that we could raise so much for this wonderful cause. In the end I fell two marathons short of my goal of 9 marathons - an achilles tendon injury and then COVID saw to that! Perhaps I should do it all again when it begins to warm up again!
