Fundraising for Parkinson's New Zealand
Nationwide
Parkinson’s Disease is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, with over 12,000 New Zealanders currently living with it. These numbers are expected to rise significantly in the coming years.
This is a cause close to my heart, as my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's 3 1/2 years ago. It has been a challenging journey for him and our family, but it has inspired me to take action.
This year, Parkinson’s New Zealand is celebrating 40 years of supporting people with Parkinson’s, their whānau, carers, and health professionals. As the only national charitable trust providing information, education, and support, they are a lifeline for many facing this condition.
I have been running, every day for the past 265 days, and for the next 100 days of my streak, I am dedicating my running to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s NZ.
You can make a difference by supporting Parkinson’s NZ, helping to provide vital resources, education, and support for people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
Thank you for your support—it means the world to me. Together, we can make a meaningful impact!
This is it—my final week of my 365-day running streak! 12 March 2025
This is it—my final week of my 365-day running streak! Every single day for the past year, I’ve run at least 1km, this month its been a streak of 2km, and now, with just a few days to go, I’m feeling sore, tired, and sometimes a little cranky… but you know what? Tomorrow is another day!
As I push through this final stretch, I want to make it count. I’m running not just for myself but to raise funds for Parkinson’s NZ, an incredible organization that provides vital support and education to people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
If you’ve been following my journey, now is the perfect time to get behind this cause. Let’s finish strong together! 💙🏃♂️
