Running 14.5km on Sept 26 to support @CampQualityNZ! My brave daughter beat cancer twice; now our family is racing to give other kids hope.

Our Story
On September 26th, 2026, our family will be hitting the trails at the Auckland Botanic Gardens. While we are all running for the same cause, we’re splitting the distance: my wife and our two daughters will be taking on the 5km track, while I tackle the 14.5km course.
This run is deeply personal for us. Our eldest daughter, now a thriving 8-year-old, is a two-time survivor of a Wilms tumour. She first faced this battle at birth, and then experienced a relapse at just two and a half years old—right in the middle of the Auckland COVID lockdowns.
Watching her strength during those isolated and difficult times taught us everything we know about bravery. Now, we want to run to celebrate her health and to support other children who are walking a similar path.
Why Camp Quality?
Camp Quality New Zealand provides a touch of "normal" life for children living with cancer. They organise incredible summer and winter camps where kids can simply be kids again—away from hospital wards and treatments. These camps are about building confidence, creating lifelong friendships, and having fun in a safe, supportive environment.
Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or a larger donation, every bit of support helps us reach our goal.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing our page with your friends and family!
Thank you for supporting us, and for helping Camp Quality bring magic back into the lives of Kiwi kids.
