Help support the amazing work done by Osteoporosis NZ in informing people of the risks of not looking after our bones!
Auckland
For the past year or so I've been involved in the great work that Osteoporosis NZ is doing to increase the awareness and understanding of osteoporosis, sometimes called 'brittle bone' disease.
Osteoporosis is very often misunderstood. One in three women will suffer from the condition, and so will one in five men. Unfortunately it can be a leading cause of death for sufferers, particularly if they sustain a break - typically their hip - which causes complications they cannot recover from. One of the reasons this is very personal to me and my family is because osteoporosis was a significant contributor to my mother's death.
As a Trustee of Osteoporosis NZ I am a passionate advocate of the work they do informing people, young and old, about the risks of not looking after your bone health throughout your life.
Of course this work costs money, which is why I'll be running the Kerikeri half marathon in beautiful Northland on 23 November and Finn and his friend Tom will be running the 5km event!
Please consider sponsoring us in this challenge and support a very worthy cause!

Couple of days to go! 21 November 2019
Thank you everyone who has sponsored my, Finn and Tom’s runs up in beautiful Kerikeri on Saturday morning! We’re looking forward to (hopefully) perfect conditions in Northland, the weather forecast is good at the moment ☀️😎. We’re so grateful for your support as is Osteoporosis NZ. Many thanks again!
