A group of friends running to raise funds for a cause close to our hearts 💖 - "Talk Peach" 🍑, a gynaecological cancer charity.
Southland
Another crazy run … this time the Milford track. Pushing the limits, the highs, lows, frustrations, pain and the excitement of completing 54km over a mountain in a day.
A crew of us will be starting the run at Sandfly Point, Milford Sound, early on the 9th March, and we are raising funds for a cause close to our hearts 💖 – “gynaecological disease”.
Many wonderful wahine face these similar feelings everyday as they have their own journey with gynaecological disease. Did you know more women die of a gynaecological disease in New Zealand each year than people from melanoma, with one women dying from ovarian cancer (1 of the 5 gynaecological cancers) every 48 hours.
Money raised will go directly to “Talk Peach”, a gynaecological cancer charity working to provide support and education on gynaecological health, to educate the community on the signs and symptoms of the 5 gynaecological cancers in order to reduce late diagnosis, to provide information and support to all those diagnosed with gynaecological cancers, to support those working in the research and medicine space connecting them with women diagnosed and supporting their work and efforts to have drug funded research into gynaecological cancer treatment and cures, and to advocate for policy change.
We appreciate any support you can give xx
