Running To Raise Money For Mental Health

We are all stronger together!

Mental Health struggles are far too common in New Zealand. It's a sad fact that we all know someone who has to fight to get through daily life.

One of the hardest parts of dealing with these struggles is how to reach out for help, how to say I'm not doing ok and how to let people know you need them. It's a problem that we have all had to face in our lives.

So that's why we have decided to be the ones to reach out and offer what we can!

We are Hamish, James, Chris and Jarrod. We have all gone through these tough times, and still go through them today. But when we're together and supporting each other, it becomes so much easier.

This year we four are banding together to raise money for I Am Hope, an amazing charity that offers free counseling to young people struggling with depression and anxiety. I Am Hope do so much for so many, that we thought the least we could do is fundraise to show our support.

Here's how we're fundraising:

We're doing Round The Bays, a fun run held in Wellington every year along the waterfront. We will be running the 10K tied together. Because we are all stronger together! We'll be wearing a custom T-shirt that we've made along side I Am Hope. Some of our bigger donators will be displayed on the shirt, our way of saying thankyou to those who have already supported us. On the day of the race we'll be showing our support to all the runners by cheering them on and being as motivational as possible.

If you want to show your love to us and to I Am Hope, it would mean the world to us. No amount is too big or too small. It's all about doing what you can, being there for people you care about and making a difference in the lives of people who feel so alone. Because no-one should ever have to feel alone. We are all stronger together!
