Running up 'Everest' in Lockdown

    Oh my word we have raised so much more for Gumboot Friday then I had imagined, so stoked!! Thank you all so much for getting behind me on this, I am so grateful.

    It felt kind of fitting that the last 2 days of my climb I have been caught in some heavy rain and some strong winds. Climbing 'Everest' has been a challenge for me for sure, but so worth it!

    My sister & nieces surprised me sitting in there car at the top cheering me on & my crew in my bubble were there to cheer me on as well. Thanks mum, dad & Yvonne!

  • Open Goal

    Just changing the goal and keeping it as an open target as there should be no limit to raising as much as we can for Gumboot Friday :-)

  • Day 11 Complete

    A little update on where I am at so far...

    Today was day 11 climbing 'Mt Everest' - 11 days & 6,600m climbed. Tomorrow is a rest day @ 'Advanced Base Camp' before I hit my last 4 days to the summit :-)

    So grateful for all of the support & all that has been raised so far, providing free counselling to young people when they need it the most. So Stoked!!! :-)

    Firstly: I want to say thanks to everyone for your support of Gumboot Friday & our young people. It's a challenge for me but I get excited pushing through thinking of the fact this helps further to give our young people easy access to talk to someone.

    Secondly: If this works! A video of just one lap of 'Everest' kinda hard on the eyes sorry! haha :-)
