"Helping patients and families whose lives are affected by Brain Cancer"
Canterbury
It's nearly time to head to Queenstown with my five great friends and to meet up with family members and their friends to take part in the November Queenstown Running Challenge. We are doing this to raise money and awareness for patients and their families who are suffering with Brain Cancer.
Brain Cancer kills more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer and little is known on its cause or how to treat it. Brain cancer costs more per patient than any other cancer and is highly debilitating.
In 2016 my brother James founded The White Matter Brain Cancer Trust to assist people and their families on their journey with Brain Cancer. Sadly, my brother lost his own courageous battle with Brain Cancer last year. James was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend and is greatly missed. He was a man with zest for life and a man for others.
This year I am running for James.
