Raising awareness for water availability in 3rd world countries by carrying a 20L water container for 10.5 km.
Auckland
Hey guys,
I will be walking 10.5 kilometres with 20 litres of water on my back this September. This is to raise awareness about communities in third world countries where water availability depends on traversing trips like this daily.
I feel privileged to live in a country where I don't have to go through this extra burden. This is the least I can do, to try and make a difference. All proceeds will go to Engineers without Borders, who conduct many projects based in the South Pacific.
Engineers without Borders is a registered charity which provides engineering assistance to communities in the Pacific and New Zealand. They do that through working with partner organisations in the communities and help them achieve their self identified needs.
Any donation will be beneficial to this cause and is extremely appreciated. Thank you!
