Running 7 marathons in 7 days to raise vital funds for Nepal following the earthquakes.

Wellington

In 2012 I was lucky enough to run through the Himalayas, visit Kathmandu and experience this incredibly beautiful country and its people.

I wanted to help in some small way towards the devastation caused by the earthquakes and avalanches in Nepal, and so beginning Tuesday 5th May I will be running a marathon (42km) every day for 7 consecutive days, finishing on Monday 11th May. The purpose of this challenge is to raise much needed funds for the people of Nepal, not only to help with the immediate devastation caused, but in the long term to rebuild the communities affected.

All donations made will go directly to the Himalayan Trust Nepal Earthquake Response Rebuild Appeal. A link to this appeal and the work they do can be found at the bottom of this page.

I will be giving daily updates and photos as I finish each marathon. I hope you can support this amazing charity and together we can help support the long journey of helping those affected by this tragedy.

Many thanks

Good luck! A theme on an Irish prayer .... May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face And rains fall soft upon your head And until you reach your goal May you be blessed with few blisters and aching limbs.
