Running for One Percent Collective
Wellington
Two days out from the Taupo Marathon and I'm in need of some serious motivation. Running for One Percent Collective will hopefully provide that extra encouragement to make it over the finish line.
One Percent Collective is an awesome charity. The idea is you give 1% of your income and they will re-direct it to effective charities across New Zealand. Their chosen charities are some of the best, including Kaibosh (a food rescue charity) and DCM (addressing homelessness).
Based in Wellington, I have been lucky enough to sit in on One Percent Collective's Board meetings and have been impressed by the team, particularly Pat Shepherd, founder and "Chief Doer of Things".
In a last minute shout out to family and friends, I hope to raise some funds for One Percent Collective to promote the "genorisity movement" that it is all about.
ps you will also be supporting Laura MacKay and Kate Armstrong through your donation who are running the marathon too!
