A runaway writer/yogi , a gifted French marathoner and a troubled artist run the Queenstown marathon for a lost buddy and his family
Otago
Simon Richardson, artist, teams up with Rachel Grunwell, writer and Yogi and Romain Mirosa, reigning Dunedin marathon champion to run the Queenstown Marathon to raise money for the biggo trust after the loss of their dear friend and brother-in-law, Wayne Biggs, to Lymphoma in August this year. Together with our families, we want to show Amie, Oli and Jasper that we are thinking of them through dedicating this run and perhaps a few dollars to the beautiful Biggs family.
Wayne was my brother in law, he was a pretty great guy, an amazing Dad to Oli and Jasper, and a loving husband to my sister Amie. For my wife Gepke and I it has been the hardest time in our lives watching him fighting against lymphoma and the trauma his loss has caused for Amie, Oli and Jasper. We just wanted to do a little something with the help of my two running friends, Rachel and Romain, to try and help them out a little more and show them how much we are thinking about them and love them.
