Sail for the Strait

    Thank you for supporting us and for your donation to Live Ocean. Unfortunately we have not yet managed to sail the Strait due to the weather not working in our favour. It has been a challenging year. We plan to give it one last try on the weekend of the 4-5th of May. If this does not go ahead we will arrange to sail the Marlborough Sounds as an alternative. As this page has officially closed there will be no further updates. Hopefully you will hear from our sailors about the sail after the weekend. Fingers crossed for their success.

    Sailing season has kept our sailors busy with regattas but they are still determined to sail the Strait. Once the Interislander Regatta and Nationals have been complete will will get things underway again. If the weather is perfect we may even try to squeeze it in between the two regattas. Will keep you posted.

    Unfortunately the weather has not been favourable and so we will have to delay. We are still hoping for the end of the week. If the weather does not settle we will pick another week. Will keep you updated.
