'SAILS' TO PROTECT OUTDOOR PLAY AREA

I recently spent 2 weeks helping and playing with the children at the Ruel Orphanage at Calapan City.

There is a tin slide and two small swings in an outdoor area that has very little protection from the sun. The slide gets so hot that they can't play on it except early morning, late afternoon. A child blistered his hands by just touching it. There is also a tin tray on legs which we used as water play. We sat some of the smaller children in it and they just loved playing in the water. Outdoor play is so important and is so healthy for them and it was awesome, seeing them enjoying their water (swim!) play
