  • We bloody well made it!

    With over $120,000 raised collectively, we've done bloody well, thank you all.

    We made it to the the final checkpoint at about 4:30pm last night after tackling the Remutaka Ranges, going up was slow, going down was hairy as we had a heck of a wind to deal with. Roughly 10 hours of riding and 370km, suffice to say the buttocks and back are a bit tender.

    BRING ON NEXT YEAR!

    I tried to ride the previous Suzuki (the one that had survived a cyclone and flooding), couldn't survive a trip up and over Bluff Hill, so a mate that has already on a scooter has donated his one to the cause, much slower, but hopefully more reliable.

    The response has been awesome, cannot thank you all enough.

    I've now roped my workmate Lliam into coming too, he went out late last night, purchased a non-running scooter, and now we're making it happen all over again. Wouldn't be a challenge if it was easy.

    We have almost met the first goal, 200 riders. As at Monday 19th Feb we have 196 riders registered. LETS GET TO 200!!!!
