Participating in Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose
Canterbury
Step up to the plate and hit us with your elevator pitch. What does Cathedral Grammar do?
Cathedral Grammar School is an independent school in the heart of Christchurch providing high-quality education for pre-school, primary school and intermediate aged girls and boys.
Supported and encouraged by a culture of nurturing, knowing and growing, our students advance on their educational journeys with a solid foundation of academic success and a well-rounded character based on our Anglican values. Our school is relationship focussed and as we strive to meet the needs of every child every day, we’ve a deliberate focus on their hearts as well as their heads.
Why have you decided to do Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose this year?
One of our pillars at Cathedral Grammar is that everyone matters. As an Anglican school, giving support for those in need is at the core of who we are. Aligning with the amazing City Mission's Back to School Programme is a natural and important fit.
Who’s your chef hero and why?
Richard Hingston is my chef hero because he is a two time Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose champion, a total legend, and a top human!
What’s your signature dish?
Spaghetti carbonara – it is the one dish I’ve committed to memory, and it is what the kids are getting for dinner tonight.
Taking business leaders out of their boardrooms and into their community to raise crucial funds for the Mission’s Back to School programme.
