Shakeel is running in the AGS 1000 Miler. A relay of 1000 Miles in 100 Hours. In support of The Key To Life Charitable Trust.

Nationwide

The 1,000 Miler was created in 1975 by Brien McCrea when he was a teacher at Wellington College. Brien moved to Auckland Grammar in 1998 and the event was enthusiastically embraced by the Grammar community.

The event, held every four years, will take place at Auckland Grammar from April 12-16 as part of the School’s 150 year celebrations and giving back programme. It will involve present students, Old Boys, past/present staff members and high profile community and sporting personalities.

The runners will run a 1km circuit around the grounds of the School and the aim is to run 1000 miles, in relay within 100 hours (approximately 4.5 days). All funds raise from the event will go to The Key of Life charitable trust, run by Mike King, the 2019 New Zealander of the Year.

Shakeel Kalyan's involvement (page creator)

Mental health is such a prominent issue in the Nationwide community, and I wholeheartedly support The Key To Life Charitable Trust’s essential work. I will be running alongside my peers in a gruelling graveyard shift to raise money for the vital counseling and other services KTL provides for at risk youth and their families.
