Shaving For Cancer

To help kids fighting cancer or dealing with a loved one going through it, have the support they need and deserve to push through it.

Auckland

Throughout my life, I've had many loved one's battle with cancer from my grandparents to even close family friends of mine. Sadly, my Poppa lost his life to it. So, unfortunately, I know what it’s like to have a loved one go through cancer, however, I don't know what it’s like to physically go through it. That's why I will be shaving my head.

My name is Sam Clark, I'm 17 years old, and on June 27 my friend Delores Crowe and a couple of other college students and I will be shaving our heads to help raise awareness for teens going through cancer as well as donating our hair to make wigs for people going through chemo and who want to feel happier in their skin. We will be shaving our heads in front of our school, Botany Downs Secondary College, underneath the bridge.

We want to help make these kids’ lives better in any way we can so we will be raising money for CanTeen in any way that we can. By donating at least $1, you can make these kids’ lives so much better. CanTeen is a non-profit organisation which means that all the money donated goes straight to helping those in need. Without being government supported they need all the help they can get.

Please donate so CanTeen can make a difference to those kids going through cancer or who are struggling with a loved one fighting so they can have a happy, loving life.
