On Wednesday 26 September, I am shaving my hair off to raise funds for the Te Omanga Hospice.
Wellington
As a teacher I meet many people. Five years ago an ex student of mine donated her hair that she had been growing for many years. This inspired me and I decided to grow my hair too, with donating in mind.
Over the years that I have been teaching, I have been touched by family, friends, friends of friends and parents of the children I have taught who have been diagnosed with Cancer. Some have fought and won their battle, some were not so lucky.
So in recognition and memory of all those who have fought their individual battles, I have decided to go a step further and shave my hair off with all money raised going to the Te Omanga Hospice to assist with the building of their new premises.
Te Omanga Hospice has helped friends when they have really needed it. I would like to do something to help them out achieving their goal of building their new premises.
