I’m shaving my head! 😃

Shaving my head in support of the children in Aotearoa battling with cancer.

Whanganui, Manawatū-Whanganui

On the first of June I will be shaving my head in support of all the kids battling cancer. The funds raised through this page will be equally split between two great charities I fundraised for a few years ago: the child cancer foundation and Gabby’s Starlit Hope. Both charities do amazing things for very sick children and certainly did supported us while our son Marcel was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour in 2021.

Marcel was very brave and rocking his bald head during treatment so I thought the least I can do is shave my head and donate my hair to freedomwigs. By doing this, hopefully, someday, someone in need will be wearing my hair. :)

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
