Shaving my head for Women's Refuge

Women's Refuge helped me come to terms with and work through the aftermath of being in an emotionally abusive relationship. I have met so many strong, inspirational women through Te Whare Pounamu, and seen first-hand what powerful positive impacts Women's Refuge has on people's lives. Bluntly, if not for them I would still be afraid of leaving my house, and seeing my friends.

I want to give something back to Te Whare Pounamu in return for the strength and support they have given me. Financial times are tough all round, but if you can spare even $1 that's one more dollar than i can give on my own, and it will go toward an amazing team of people who help women and families every day.

My hair will be going to Freedom Wigs, a locally based company that makes wigs for people with alopecia and other conditions that cause hair loss.
