Shaving Heads for Bowel Cancer
Canterbury
On Sunday 2nd October 2016 a group had our heads shaved in support of the Bowel Cancer Foundation. This is a not for profit organisation which is strongly committed to raise awareness of Bowel Cancer in New Zealand and to assist in the early detection of the disease. New Zealand has the highest rate of Bowel Cancer in the OECD over 3000 diagnosed this year, 1200 will die from it. 90% can be saved if it caught early enough. Please donate to help early detection and reduce the death rate from this disease
My partner Kaite died from Bowel Cancer just over two years ago, I set up this page to raise funds to support the Bowel Cancer Foundation. On the 2nd October we are having a Fun Day at the Little River Community Centre
Myself and 6 others are shaving our heads, have organised pony rides for kids, farm animals to pet, a cake stall and Sandwich Bar
