Stage 2 is over and a lovely story that Simon shared.

Dave (see below) is a keen cyclist and lost his beautiful wife to breast cancer a few years back. He was delighted that Simon was not only raising awareness of incurable breast cancer but raising funds through Sweet Louise. Unfortunately, the more you reach out, the more stories come forward.

Thank you for chatting to us Dave and all the very best with the Tour.

A shout out to his Grandson who is competing in cycling Club Nationals next week….

Overall, another great day on a bike!

Ps: Aunty Inge finished ahead of Uncle Si today…. Promised I wouldn’t mention it 😉

    Keep up the great work.

    Kia Ora,

Totally understand that it’s hard times and that’s why we won’t be strong arming anyone into sending any more money.

Thank you again for your support. With less than a week to go we feel that its more important that we get the message out there and educate New Zealanders.

That there is a Charity out there who have a track record in helping patients and family dealing with Incurable Breast cancer.

That Charity is Sweet Louise and they are there to help. Support them by spreading the word and their contact below.

Might be a great idea to buy Simon a coffee?

Best way to do this is sponsor him the $6, and I’ll make him one on this side of the account! Brotherly love and all that.

We are into full sponsor mode as the time gets closer and as always like to remind you to pass on the link to this page.

If you’re having a bad Monday……Sponsoring Simon will make today worthwhile.

    Happy Monday

Sue was our Mum. She lost her life to Breast Cancer in 1987, just shy of her 40th Birthday.

You can’t help but wonder who she would have become in the years that she lost and also the years we lost with her. She never met our wives or children and that’s really sad. For those who are going through this journey currently, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Miss you Mum.

  • Wow- What a fantastic start.

      19 March 2025
    Main image

    Hello Team,

Thank you for supporting me. Within 3 short days we are up to almost $1500.

I`m really looking forward to what ought to be a gruelling week of riding along the West Coast of the South Island, hopefully the weather is kind to us.

What I failed to mention in the initial post was that it was indeed the Tour of New Zealand.

    A Summary is:

    5 Days, 6 Stages

    Average Stage: 85 km

    Total Tour Distance: 450 kms

Average Daily Ride Time: 3h 30 mins

You can also follow me on line.

Currently training everyday and it really isn't too far away now, so last minute preparations are going full steam ahead with arranging kit and getting a few ZZZZ`s where I can. Trying to balance Training and Recovery is a constant challenge.

    More to follow.

    Thank you again.

    God Bless

    Simon.
