FUN way to raise money for kids' mental health
Nelson / Tasman
Having depression is like walking through mud every day. Gumboot Friday is a day that I AM HOPE hosts every year calling on kiwis to show support by wearing Gumboots to acknowledge the struggle of those suffering with mental illness. This year Mike King and the team at I AM HOPE are putting on a 24 hour walk-a-thon around Auckland Domain where they hope to raise $100,000 for their kids counselling fund.
So on Friday the 28th May, give a gold coin, and take a walk in their shoes for just one day. It's a fun way for kiwis to join in the mental health conversation, while raising money to provide FREE and timely counselling for any young person in need.
In the week leading up to Gumboot Friday, be sure to pop in your local Snap Fitness and take part into some of our gumboot themed fun!
Let’s help I AM HOPE raise that $100,000.
